Water Hog

California is experiencing a drought unprecedented in modern times. The largest single use of water is for agriculture. Our project allows consumers to understand the water impact of their food choices and how to do their part to fight the drought.

How it works

Water Hog is an app that lets you know the water footprint of the food you eat. Using a database of water usage by food product, Water Hog calculates the water footprint of menu items at local restaurants and lets you consider alternative, lower footprint items from the menu.
