Use Data Science to Solve Big Social Problems
Bayes Impact is a Y Combinator-backed nonprofit that brings data science solutions to big social problems. We run a 12-month full-time fellowship for leading data scientists and work with civic and nonprofit organizations such as the Gates Foundation and the White House.
Co-hosted by Jerry Yang’s AME Cloud Ventures and Joe Lonsdale’s Formation 8, we’re inviting 150+ leading data scientists, engineers, and designers to join us for a 24-hour hackathon to create data-driven solutions for social problems being tackled by some of the most impactful organizations in the world. The winning hack will become a Bayes Impact project, staffed with full-time data scientists and engineers who will work with our partners to bring the hack to life.
Participants must apply at www.bayesimpact.org/hack. Participants will be notified if they have received an invitation to compete.
All teams must be properly registered through ChallengePost by the submission deadline on Sunday, November 16th to be considered for judging.
